These windows are consistently some of my favorite art projects.
Every month, the ACNB Bank at the Corner of Market Street & Patrick Street in Downtown Frederick lets a different local nonprofit use their display window as advertising for whatever they want!
The Mental Health Association (MHA) of Frederick County wanted to use the May 2026 window to showcase their indispensable 24-hour call center. The window featured conversation blurbs that gave relevant examples of reasons someone may use the call center, surrounding a 1960’s telephone handset – because that’s the decade MHA was founded!
I also cut out and painted cardboard conversation blurbs to hang in the little room behind the window, and I loved how a little bit of 3D action added so much depth to the project.
As usual, I had my trusty four-legged sidekick to “help” me paint and steal the photoshoot show.
