Every month, the ACNB Bank at the Corner of Market Street & Patrick Street in Downtown Frederick lets a different local nonprofit use their display window as advertising for whatever they want!
And every March, United Way of Frederick County hosts their GENIUS version of a donation drive called The Unity Campaign – which was the March ‘26 window I got to decorate!
The Unity Campaign lasts for two weeks, during which the participating nonprofits raise as much money as they can. At the end of the campaign, United Way matches whatever the nonprofits raised.
The 2026 Unity Campaign raised over $655,000 dollars and supported 36 local nonprofits!
To honor the donation matching, I came up with a Unity Campaign Match Game for their window! One side of the window had the logo of each participating nonprofit and the other side listed their names, in their fonts. Anyone who walked by could scan the QR code to actually PLAY the match game (and donate while they were there).

One of my favorite parts of this particular window was watching passersby participate! The window is only a handful of blocks from my house and most days that I passed it on Joanie’s walks, there was someone standing it front of it seeing if they could recognize the logos! SO COOL.
Something else I loved about this window was having my friend Erica there to help with it. Not only for the entertainment factor (because that bitch ENTERTAININ’), but for the TIME it saved me! Usually a chalk marker window takes me 2 days. Even with Erica’s help, this one took 3 days! And I can’t imagine how many I’d have been there without her.
These windows are one of my favorite art projects to be a part of.
